Á sýningunni ORKA / ENERGY sýnir Úlfar fígúratíf málverk sem unnin voru á árunum 2021 og 2022. Hann hefur unnið með fígúratífan myndheim allan sinn listferil. Í verkum sínum fangar hann ekki aðeins anatómíu mannslíkamans heldur leggur jafnframt áherslu á hreyfingu og takt hennar.

Hin mikla orka sem var að verki í heiminum á þessum tíma — náttúruöflin, heimsfaraldurinn og ógnin við heimsfriðinn — hafði án efa áhrif á sum verkanna. Í mörgum málverkanna má greina meiri orku og hreyfingu en áður.

In the exhibition ORKA / ENERGY, Úlfar presents figurative paintings created in 2021 and 2022. He has explored figurative imagery throughout his artistic career. His works not only capture the anatomy of the human form but also emphasise movement and its underlying rhythm.

The powerful energy at work in the world at the time — the forces of nature, the pandemic and the threat to world peace — undoubtedly influenced some of these works. Many of the paintings convey a greater sense of energy and movement than before.
